Who we are
This website, ayaministries.org, is operated on behalf of Aya (As You Are Retreat Ministries) and Chronicles of Chronic Ills LLC, operating as AYA COCI Coaching. This policy explains what information is collected when you visit this site, how it is used, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Site usage data: We use Metricool to see general traffic and engagement statistics for this site, such as which pages are visited.
- Comments: If you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent string, to help detect spam via Akismet. An anonymized hash of your email address may be checked against the Gravatar service; once your comment is approved, your profile picture is visible publicly alongside your comment.
- Security and login data: We use a security plugin (Really Simple Security) to help protect this site. It may log login attempts and IP addresses and use cookies to support site hardening and, if enabled, two-factor authentication.
- Cookie preferences: We use Complianz to manage cookie consent. When you make a choice in our cookie banner, that preference is stored in a cookie so we don’t ask again.
- Coaching bookings: The “Book Now” links on this site take you to LunaCal.ai, a third-party scheduling service, where you provide your name, email address, and appointment details directly to LunaCal. We do not collect or process your scheduling or payment information on this site. Please review LunaCal’s own privacy policy for details on how they handle your information.
- Shop purchases: Our online store is located at shop.ayaministries.org, a separate site with its own checkout process. Any order, payment, or shipping details you provide there are handled by that store’s own privacy practices, not by ayaministries.org directly.
- COCI Blog: The “COCI Blog” page on this site redirects visitors to our Wix-hosted site at afischer9187.wixsite.com/coci. Once you are redirected, Wix’s own privacy and cookie practices apply to your visit.
- Other embedded or linked content: Pages on this site may link to or reference other services (for example, Zoom for virtual retreats, or Amazon for recommended products). Those services may collect data about your interaction with their content independently of this site.
Cookies
This site uses Complianz to ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies, in line with applicable cookie laws. You can change your cookie preferences at any time using the cookie settings link on this site. Some cookies (such as those needed for basic site security) are essential and are not subject to the consent banner.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data with the third-party services described above (Metricool, Akismet, Really Simple Security, Complianz, LunaCal.ai, our shop platform, and Wix) only as needed for them to provide the service on our behalf, or in the case of external sites you are redirected to, once you leave this site. If you request a password reset as a site user, your IP address is included in the reset email.
How long we retain data
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically. For registered users, we also store the personal information in their profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Your rights over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, except data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Children’s privacy
This site and our coaching and retreat services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time, especially as we add or change the tools and services this site uses. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
